I know the body wood of this guitar is very ‘maluable’ , a simple finger touch produces lots of debris , as I found out when replacing the pickups. Some say it is Maple , others say it is Basswood. I don’t know enough about either woods (other than Hard Wood Maple) to tell the difference.
I can’t really imagine what you mean by ‘maluable’. Was the guitar really kept in good condition? Has the guitar not suffered due to excess humidity? I think that may be the point.
