In this post, I’m excited to showcase a 1979 Greco EG800PR Budokan that I recently acquired in Japan. This guitar, a replica of the KISS Ace Frehley Les Paul model, is remarkably well-preserved given its age. I am its second owner, and it had only one previous owner who played it for 10 years before storing it in its case for the past 30 years.
Upon purchase, the guitar came with its original case and some additional goodies: the Greco Handbook, a truss rod adjustment key, a tuner adjustment key, and its original price tag.
The Greco EG800PR stands out as the flagship model among Japanese guitar brands, especially in replicating the Gibson triple Humbuckers from the late ’70s.
For detailed specifications, please refer to the description below.

Hello, I read a lot of your article about GRECO, since I love GRECO guitars (I have two Les Paul and one SG so far), and of course your articles help me to have better understanding about GRECO. Thanks!
I just bought a GRECO Les Paul Black Beauty Triple Humbucker, Headstock design is exactly the same as yours.
But I lost trace of the model, I wonder if you could help me to identify which model is mine.
For your reference, the serial number is I777783.
Thanks a lot!
