I present in this article my 1974 Greco JB-450S. I had wanted a vintage Japanese bass for some covers of my favorite songs and some backing tracks. Looking for a good opportunity, I came across this Jazz Bass that looked in good condition, complete and with original case that still has his Greco plate.
When I received it, I had the unpleasant surprise that the neck had a back-bow issue and the truss-rod was locked. In the state it was, I could not play, but I was able to solve the back-bow issue, unlock the truss-rod and adjust it to play without any problem.
The work to correct the back-bow is explained in another article. The pots will also be reviewed in a while.
Even so, this Greco JB-450S has incredible sound allowing to play all styles: Jazz, Rock, Funk, etc.
This is an excellent instrument that would please any bass player!
